Norihiro Ito Principal & Mitsui Liaison

Norihiro Ito, Principal at NovaQuest Capital Management, on secondment from Mitsui & Co., Ltd. Mr. Ito has significant experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

Mr. Ito joined NovaQuest in 2023 on secondment after 12 years at Mitsui where he took an instrumental role in investment deal sourcing, contract manufacturing project management, pharmaceutical API trading, and most recently Mr. Ito worked at Pharma Solutions business Department which supports NovaQuest from Tokyo. Mr. Ito worked at MicroBiopharm Japan, a contract development and manufacturing organization held by Toray Industries and Mitsui, where he led business development with global pharmaceutical companies, out-licensing, and plant acquisition investments. His extensive experience and global perspective have been developed by his time working in Italy, China, Japan and the U.S.

Mr. Ito earned a Master of Agricultural Science in the field of Applied Biosciences from the Graduate School of Agriculture at Kyoto University in Japan, and a BS in Agriculture in the field of Bioresource Science from Kyoto University in Japan.
