Naoko Onishi Principal & Mitsui Liaison

Naoko Onishi, Principal & Mitsui Liaison at NovaQuest Capital Management, has an extensive experience in finance industry.  She is responsible for sourcing, due diligence, structuring of investment opportunities and post-close investment management.

Ms. Onishi joined NovaQuest in 2023 on secondment from Mitsui & Co., Ltd. where she was Investment Manager at Private Equity Division, responsible for sourcing, due diligence, negotiation, valuation, and post-investment oversight of the division’s fund investments as well as direct investments.

Previously, she spent six years at Bank of Japan where she initially engaged in economic analysis and forecasts and subsequently bank examination and prudential policy making both at a national and a cross-border level.

Ms. Onishi earned a BA in Law from Sophia University, an LLM from University College London, and Master of Finance from University of Cambridge.
