Tom has held positions of increasing responsibility (Director, Vice-President, Senior Vice-President) in pharmaceutical research and development with Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health, Mallinckrodt Veterinary, Bayer Animal Health and Central Life Sciences. His expertise covers the practical application of scientific principles to the development of veterinary medicines, particularly the development and implementation of novel delivery dose forms. He has extensive experience and hands-on involvement with manufacturing site selection and start to finish Chemistry-Manufacturing-Control (CMC) development for clients on several continents, from established animal health companies to emerging technologies.
Professional memberships include: American Society of Parasitologists; American Association for the Advancement of Science; American Association of Veterinary Parasitologists (served in every elected office); Council of Agricultural and Scientific Technology; Equine Protozoal Myeloencephalitis (EPM) Society (founding member and Past-President); Midwest Conference of Parasitologists; Poultry Science Association; World Association for the Advancement of Veterinary Parasitology (Past-President and member of the Executive Board and the Chair of the Scientific Guidelines Committee) and Charter Diplomate of the American Registry of Professional Animal Scientists.
Tom received a Bachelor of Science in Dairy Science, a Master of Science and Ph.D. in Veterinary Science (Parasitology) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He lives in Wisconsin.
