Tom Campi received his DVM and MPVM degrees from UC Davis in 1989. He is also board certified by the American College of Poultry Veterinarians. Dr. Campi previously worked for Elanco Animal Health for more than 25 years. His career path included roles in poultry technical consulting, leadership roles in US and European regulatory affairs and technology acquisitions. In the acquisitions role, he was responsible for leading a team of scientists who evaluated medical breakthroughs for their use in preventing and treating important animal diseases. Prior to his retirement from Elanco he was Director of External Innovation where he was responsible for creating new business models for bridging technology with funding in order to satisfy the growing need for novel medicines for both food and companion animals.
Most recently, Tom worked for Huvepharma, where he was head of research and regulatory affairs. Under his leadership, Huvepharma introduced novel vaccines and pioneer and generic drugs to the animal health market.
Dr. Campi resides in Indiana with his wife of 30+ years.
Dr. Campi joined NovaQuest’s Animal Health Strategic Advisory Committee in January 2021.
