Jonathan Tunnicliffe, MSc, MBA
Vice President of Global Due Diligence, NovaQuest
 Jonathan Tunnicliffe serves as Vice President of Global Due Diligence for NovaQuest, the strategic and financial partnering arm of Quintiles. As such, he leads the diligence function of the division, harnessing people and assets to support valuation and risk assessments for compounds and companies. Chief among his responsibilities is overseeing the diligence assessment for specific investments, evaluations that range from equity investments in emerging biotech companies to large-scale development and commercialization ventures with global pharmaceutical companies.
Mr. Tunnicliffe, who began his career as a Clinical Trial Statistician, brings more than 18 years of experience in international pharmaceuticals to his position at Quintiles. Prior to joining Quintiles UK in 1995, he was a founding member of a CRO based in Britain, where he held the board position of Director of Operations. He transferred to Quintiles in the U.S. in 1999 as a key member of a joint initiative on eBusiness, driving the business development of all commercial and R&D applications of the Internet.
Educated in the U.K., Mr. Tunnicliffe earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematical statistics from the University of Liverpool. He continued his studies at the graduate level, acquiring a Master of Science degree in medical statistics from the University of Newcastle. Later, he obtained an MBA from the Sheffield Hallam University.
