Gordon Gillooly, MBA

Global Vice President, Emerging Biotech, NovaQuest

As the Global Vice President for Emerging Biotech with NovaQuest, Gordon “Chip” Gillooly, expands Quintiles’ relationships with emerging biotechnology companies around the world. His team has invested in more than 20 public and private life science companies in the past two years, as a member of syndicates who invested $600 million into these companies. Equally important, his team assisted those companies with their demanding clinical development and corporate strategic needs. Additionally, Mr. Gillooly’s team oversees NovaQuest’s Limited Partners investments in twelve venture funds, who have committed nearly $1.6 billion for life sciences investments. He joined Quintiles in 2003, bringing to his position 20 years of experience in global strategy, senior management, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate integrations.

Prior to joining NovaQuest, Mr. Gillooly was CEO of a venture-funded technology company where he successfully completed multiple rounds of funding and moved the company through early state development to successful product launch. Prior to his CEO role, Mr. Gillooly was a founding partner of a strategic investment group involved in an industry-wide rollup and has served as president or vice president of a number of private companies where he managed multiple acquisitions, and a management buyout from Kohlberg, Kravis and Roberts.

Mr. Gillooly received a master’s degree in business administration from Duke University and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from St. Louis University.
