Geoffrey Owen, MBA
Vice President, NovaQuest
Geoffrey Lawrence Owen, Vice President of NovaQuest, specializes in identifying, structuring and negotiating risk-based pharmaceutical product development and commercialization transactions. A founding member of Quintiles’ Corporate Development group, he has engineered financial and service partnerships with a wide spectrum of pharmaceutical and biotech companies, as Quintiles has committed more than $1.5 billion in capital to these transactions over the past five years. Mr. Owen began his Quintiles career in the Innovex business unit, focusing on structuring and delivering large commercial services partnerships.
Prior to joining Quintiles in 1998, Mr. Owen worked at The Wilkerson Group, a New York based consultancy that provided strategy, marketing and business development advisory services to the healthcare industry. He began his healthcare career at Deloitte and Touche Consulting Group in Atlanta, focusing mainly on operations projects for hospitals and integrated healthcare systems. Mr. Owen earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina and then served eight years as a naval officer. Upon leaving active duty, he completed an MBA at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
